ANFF Materials
Bringing together strengths in advanced materials
Node Competencies and Capabilites
The Materials Node, based at both the University of Newcastle (UoN) and the University of Wollongong (UoW), combines the skills, facilities and expertise of the Translational Research Initiative for Cell Engineering and Printing (TRICEP), the ARC Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science (ACES), the UoW Intelligent Polymer Research Institute (IPRI), and the UoN’s Centre for Organic Electronics. Between them, these partners offer extensive and unique capabilities in the design, development and fabrication using advanced materials.
The ANFF Materials node is an essential part of the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF). ANFF was founded in 2007 to provide access to micro and nanofabrication equipment, essential to Australia’s scientific future. Enabled by NCRIS, ANFF has become a cornerstone of research in Australia, and now represents an investment of more than $500m in research infrastructure. ANFF Materials is one of eight Nodes that are spread across the country. Visit anff.org.au to find out more.
